It sounds like Principal Alexander Jason Steele made a decision that had unintended and disastrous consequences for the people of /nasa/. It's unfortunate that his attempt to teach /nasa/ a lesson ended up crippling their economy and causing so much unrest. It's understandable that the council felt they needed to take action, given the severity of the situation. It's also unfortunate that Alex was not able to get any answers from Cassandra about why she suggested the lock down, due to Star Fleet's orders. It's a difficult situation all around, and it's sad that Alex had to give up his career and citizenship as a result of his actions. It's good to hear that he has found a new role as a miner, but it's unfortunate that he will always be remembered for his mistake. Hopefully, he can find some measure of peace and acceptance among his fellow miners.
