On the note of the Empire's history, I was thinking that having the Stargazers inexplicably be here early, and thus completely isolated in the North until the time of the Kindred's arrival, would work great for our lore. Pomerania might have originally sent the Lucanians out into the Badlands in an attempt to re-establish contact with the stranded oracles, and the Holy Kingdom being accepted into the Empire relatively easily despite their early desire for expansionism could have been sheer relief at a powerful fighting force willingly putting themselves in between Stargard and the Badlands. How does that sound to you?
