Basically the reason people watch Aqua's Apex is because she never plays with males. Apex in Japan is a dating game but Aqua is retarded and has the autism of a typical western shut in male gamer so she grinded solo queue for years without leeching off more talented males or pro gamers. This satiated her idol fanbase while also making her better at the game
Actually for a long time she had a toxic rat play style a la pic related where she would abandon her teammates and try to hide for points. She actually failed her first Master challenge due to this (she always attempted her challenge at the end of seasons and simply ran out of time once hitting her skill wall at Dia1) because ratting takes a long time for less reward
Aqua then had a menhera melty and stopped streaming for a year while she grinded, changed her play style and got good. This more entertaining style no doubt makes her streams more successful but she got good numbers even before that because she is a good entertainer who knows how to present a story of what she is doing, has good reactions to content and has the gap moe of being a cute idiot while also a sweaty autist
There are multiple ways to success but she has a lot of unique factors that the typical VSPO quiet, stoic autist or someone like Selen do not and part of the story arcs she is good at developing involve doing something on her own and succeeding (or failing) without using males to do it for her.
