>>89435348The format of the "vote" is designed to just elevate whoever is in the clique. It's this meme but IRL. You need an overwhelming 75% majority to win if you're not favored by the clique, and even then since they don't publish the vote counts they are likely to just throw out the votes.
That's also why the big streamers on twitch are so lockstep. If you go against the grain you get thrown out of the clique, and you lose all ability to network and win awards like this. You lose all the favorable coverage and publicity and collabs.
