I feel like Towa really just hates her fanbase, or the existence of fanbase.
Now, I'm not talking about "fanbase" as in, she hates her fans the kenzoku, whether they are weirdos, disregarding them, or thinking they're mere audience that tune into her stream.
I feel like she still can't move past the mentality of she does not deserve such popularity. She hates being a common holo, with a common holo fanbase. Which is the opposite of what kenzoku tried to do. To be bluntly honest, she has the widest range of audience and quite a strong overall presence in discussions over the internet.
Yet she refuses to capitalize on this, and kept on wrangling her fanbase, trying her hardest to shape them into a utopia, bunch of audience that likes her content simply because its her and nobody else. And when this tactic backfires, she menhera posts and blames herself the hardest.
In simple terms, she is anti-number person, and tried too hard to do so to a point she sucks at shilling her own merchs and releases (how many times she mentioned STY?). Maybe she wanted to prove a point. Maybe she dislikes "conventional popularity".
She seeks the only true "Towa connoisseur" that appreciates her of whatever actions she take rather than a Towa fans that are only there for the numbers or mainstream recognition.
Yet, she wanted to achieve her artistry dream of music production. But refuse to acknowledge that such dream is only possible numbers whether she likes it or not.
No I'm not getting off. This is exactly the Towa experience I've gotten used to. It's not my first rodeo.
