>>20527318I'm aware of that, but it's obvious that the canals are a sticking point for the polar design, and the main reason behind it is maritime trade, especially with countries in the northern holo continent. As such, if the plan is to allow those countries maximum access to global maritime trade, then the fewer land there is in the pole, the better, hence my suggestion of opting for D-variant (picrel), where the pole is mostly ocean.
