>>59736569Look kid, I'm a numbers regular and have been following athy from well before she became a vtuber.
>Percentage of sales from merch go to the talents. There's a difference between getting 1% and 50%. There's also a difference between costs of promotion and costs of production (take a wild guess which of the two is more expensive for a vtuber).
If the S1 talents were participating on the upfront costs of the merch production and never saw a penny, then they got scammed.
If only the agency was paying the bills, then it's up to their generosity how much goes to the talents really. Idol corp claims that 20% from revenue is industry standard but I don't really buy that.
>>59739274Source: your ass. From what we read in the financial reports, the talents did NOT get a 50% cut from SuperEXPO profits. Are you out of your mind?
Cover isn't so generous when it comes to the merch they produce. Mio asked Cover to stock more of her stuff on a fan meeting event, worried for her miofa... and Cover was fine about it as long as SHE faced the risk (picrel). She should've listened to the sales team.
>>59736684How is it weird to bring up a corpo vtuber that got asked how much money he gets from merch and said nearly nothing
