First you need to gather the materials from non paying jobs(hide, wood, metal (that also needs to be smelted into ingots using the smelting skill) and herbs). Next is using the 4 main jobs to craft things, after a certain amount of crafts you might get a pill part (except for alchemy which completes the pill) and they look like this. After making the pill, the parts are used up so you have to make more parts for new pills
