Women and men are different anon, that's a fundamental truth. It would then stand to reason that men and women think differently as well, so the banter you could get from 2 dudes would be different than banter you'd get from 2 girls, or 1 girl and 1 dude. If we follow this line of thought it can be surmised that an occasional mixed gender collab can be a kind of refreshing experience that afford new and interesting entertainment, but the problem with this is that in order to keep the positives of the matter without including the negatives you need
>A woman that can banter and get along with men well>A man that knows the differences between men and women and knows when to let up messing with a woman so as to not upset her>Both to be mature and professional enough not to flirt and to include themselves in that collab purely for the entertainment aspects to improve the quality of their streams>Both to have a good amount of social competence so no one says anything "yab">Both to be able to get along well as people in terms of personality, etc.>An audience with the ability to distinguish between a man and woman joking with each other platonically and flirtingAsking for all of this is a fairly high demand, not to mention the last point being more unrealistic since vtuber fans are typically bad at socialization. I myself have had people get mad at me irl just for joking around with women, saying I was flirting, when I told the same jokes and acted the same way with a guy not long before that. I've had that happen several times, and this is why I know that ordinarily mixed gender anything doesn't work as well as gender segregated environments.
Overall, it's a possibility but it would take such extraordinary efforts from all parties to make work it's 99% of the time better to just skip to a healthy amount of gender division.
