In Open Pose if I make the figure skiny and narrow it turns the character to the side so you can avoid them all over lapping and get more leeway with your regional prompting for latent coupling. That should avoid characters fusing and bleeding into each other. You also need to up all defining character traits a bit too.
If your figures overlap you can get chaos shit like this.
