/who/'s government and politics:
Parliamentary party politics mainly focused on foreign policy/important issues, individuals have differing opinion, though signs of consolidation/clear party line
Major issues in political discussion: two: foreign policy(incl. immigrants) & theology(e.g. should owl be lewded)
Military mostly stay out of politics, but have veto power over major issues(economics & foreign policy)
Other arguments mostly centred on personal/scholarly opinions(e.g. Beans in chilli? & Odin drinks cum)
Mainstream:
Republican: mercantilist, support tech stealing/protection(maintain tech advantage/dominance above all else), theologically leaning conservative, generally xenophobic(scepticism to most outsiders(potential printers), expect close council splits), aggressive foreign policy, status quo/ state-centric welfare
Liberal: laissez-faire, support tech exchange(spreading progress), theologically radical+liberal, xenophilic, progressive foreign policy(build more relations instead of focusing on current allies), welfare range from decreased state involvement to more state involvement
Fringe:
Unionist: worker's rights, connection to liberals
Imperialist: expand republic to spread progress, nameless one would return when republic conquered enough territory + ppl > global utopia of endless progress(ULTRA aggressive foreign policy, welcome xenos but assimilationist), military government, may or may not be related to cannibal cult
Very early notes. There are more stuff I want to write first so this is going back to the backburner. Only posting here for potential feedback so not anchoring.
