Male vsingers are extremely rarely successful, unless they've got instrumentation or song writing chops to back it up. There's some success stories, but the simple fact is people are more willing to throw money at a girl then a guy, and you will have to walk the line between appealing to the fujos who're into male vtubers and the bro audience, which is a difficult tightwalk, or choose one to appeal to and lose half of your already small potential viewership.
I think classic 2000s skatepark core is a great thing for karaoke, but probably not gonna do well as a cover. Remember that you want to have people doing searches daily for this song so they can stumble upon yours, and older songs like that which aren't seeing a resurgence due to some pop culture don't have that.
