japs dont even CARE about 60% of the Nijis right now, with a good deal of them being less than 1k most of the time, and these are nijis who have GREAT tastes and personalities, who know english/japanese well.
Nijisanji's strongest competition is themselves, and it has been for a long time, (they are already over 3 years old) they have a much wider variety than hololive in content too, basically, there are just not ENOUGH japanese to watch all of nijisanji lef now, every JP who cares about vtubers already has already found a fanbase and the last missing batch was taken by hololive too.
its is exactly because nijisanji has exhausted their JP niche, that nijiEN was created, it is to let EOPs know that nijisanji exists, (and they are actually achieving it), even if it is on a much smaller scale than holoEN, they are already more succesful than any other attempt they have made with other regional branches, so I wouldn't be that concerned about them grabbing japan's attention anyways, they need to aim for the rest of the world as much as they can now.
