Because this is now illegal you have a surprisingly large number of tards in positions of power, and people who should be managerial-class working mcjobs or neeting.
I guess double's advocate would be saying "not all smartboyz are working at mcdonald's, many work at google" but there is a shift in society away from hiring people purely for "being smart and capable" and starting a business requires connections and assets to loans and money to pay for all the certifications and licenses, which is difficult for "the young smart guy" to get (though I did know a guy who made a landscaping company with his friends, but he seems to have lost his business?) so it is much more difficult now to just 'be smart' and have things work out.
