Liora streamed and Lofi sang, life was good
So I’ve been reading the chuubanite rentry for a while and I’m told to ask here when it comes to the intricacies of the magic rock. When I was writing about my story, I asked on whether the magic shown in it fits the world, and I’m told that it’s fine since we can assume the chuubanite is in the air or something that the affected ate/drank, and the songstress’ performance activates them. Then, when I check the rentry, it says
>Active use of chuubanite requires either bringing the chuubanite into contact with a different material, or for symbols to be drawn with (or on) the chuubanite. If it’s easier for you to understand, you can think of these as spell reagents and magic circles. A combination of both materials and symbols can be used to create more complex effects.
I assume that means some kind of magic pattern has to be drawn on the substance for it to be activated that way, but since you can’t exactly draw in air or liquid (at least have them maintain the shape after being consumed), and drawing on food will get scrambled because of the whole chewing thing, does that mean you can’t actually put activating patterns on them? Would it work if I say the pattern is embedded in the molecular structure of some kind of organic molecules so that specific substance with chuubanite in it will automatically have that activation pattern?
