>>61506397>You can't blame the streamer for any of it, because your emotions are your own responsibilitythis isn't black or white. that's like saying gambling sites aren't responsible for manipulating people into getting addicted to gambling. like yeah, it's the addict's fault for even going on there in the first place i suppose, but it's not like the online casinos are entirely without blame. i also think it's naive to say it's not intentional when they have corporate backing with business professionals trying to figure out how to monetize their viewers. then there's also the opportunity costs associated with all of this. hundreds of millions, if not billions of hours out of the lives of men in their most productive years that could have been spent bettering themselves or the world, just gone with nothing to show for it. it is what it is though. i'm here despite knowing it's unhealthy because i'm depressed and don't see a future for myself anyway.
