The rest of the characters DID feel like human beings, though. If that was the entire point, then that's awesome, but in no way, shape, or form, did I ever get the feeling that he was human at all.
He was practically a walking dildo in human form. The only time he felt like he existed was when he broke down in front of mindbroken kotonoha and then when he died crying. But that felt like it was out of left field to me due to how much of a non-person he was.
