It's essentially cultural gatekeeping, we don't want the SJW crowd and will take active steps to mitigate, push away and suppress them in every way possible. Quite a number of them had formulated a group around people like Nyanners, and even used her as an excuse to go and harass other vtubers (some into suicide) because they feel validated doing so. All of them are just hollow, spineless bullies. A little bit of resistance is enough to discourage them, much so as to invalidate their actions. Likewise if you put men to actively patrol the borders then outsiders wouldn't even bother about trespassing. The same deal happening with Vtubing and why it's been successful so far. Recently I haven't seen any callouts for harassments, and both SJWs and non-SJWs usually just agree to block and ignore each other, which is what we want. It's all pretty contained and none of them ever get any traction. This is not true for other fandoms, let's say something like Genshin Impact, because they take no effort in gatekeeping their own community.
I have nothing personal against Nyanners but I hate the way SJWs see Nyanners as, and Nyanners herself is tolerating/condoning their awful behaviour and validating them (because she's a pushover). I can actually at least respect Vei for standing up and telling them to fuck off. It doesn't matter whether Nyanners is a still an actual SJW, an SJW doormat, or neither. The fact is that Nyanners will always be held at gunpoint for as long as she as a lot of antis, it's going to discourage any more attempts pandering to them and it will deescalate the SJW situation not only around her but within Vtubing in general. Don't ever give them an inch, not even a millimeter.
