>>95296970the keyword is "panic"
you could also call it "mental stack overload"
it's a state where you try to focus on multiple things at once, jumbling everything and achieving nothing
you felt "utterly destroyed" because of that, even though it wasn't that one sided, the Juri def felt some pressure
to lessen this problem, here are some propositions:
- Create a gameplan before the match that you need to follow to the letter. A matchup is, after all, just a gameplan both players adhere to
A flowchart is, too. Wondered why flowchart kens would give you trouble? that's why
- Have your BnBs inscribed in your muscle memory, you must not think about them during a match
- Train your decision making, SF6 is a game of choices. The earlier you make a decision, the more mental ressources you can dedicate to analysing your opponent. For example, at the timecode in my last post, you should have come to a decision before having pressed LP, and you should have stuck with it. In an ideal world, you would have recognised you were out of position before attempting the DR, but that's something that comes with experience.
All these propositions can be trained in the training mode. It's not the funniest thing to do, but it is the fastest way to do it, outside of playing with a friend 6h every day
tl;dr: learn to manage your mental stack. that's my advice
