But then, in Fallout 2, if you resolve the issue in his town and get Marcus as your super mutant companion, you can take him to a brothel. Your character makes a comment about "wait, Super Mutants can't get into this sort of thing?" and Marcus replies something along the lines of the Super Mutant sterility actually wore off after a time after the Master's death.
Some caveats with this:
Tim Cain wrote 1, was not involved with 2. And then 3 was Todd, who retconned the retcon.
So you have two separate groups trying to one up each other and change the previous games- so at this point it's whatever you believe.
