I don't understand it either because she could simultaneously placate her core audience while fostering a new one if she so chose to directly address and communicate her goals and intentions. Instead, she lets out cryptic statements every so often and constantly does new things while telling you, "This content isn't for you so don't worry if you don't catch it."
I still believe she can fix her issues personally. There's no reason to throw away certain current potential for an unknown future potential when you can have both.
