>>37829210I think a lot of people do.
It's a subtle ebb and flow of moving posts in a certain direction, or "mood"
Think about how someone makes some shitpost about a girl and someone replies "the first person who replies after me is italian" or silly stuff like that, they're trying to keep the thread in favor of their oshi (while also telling shitposters to fuck off which isn't bad)
The two fanbases that are HANDS DOWN the best at controlling thread favor are hoomans and saplings, nothing else even comes close. You can consider this good or bad, but they are absolutely immaculate at keeping the thread talking about their oshi in some way, and avoiding any real bad news. They're even good at doing this in the catalog!
The opposite directtion of completely losing thread favor is undoubtedly kroniis, sure she had a famous split, but before the homo arc there was still chitchat about her here, now she's genuinely the least talked about member of holoEN - even Bae gets more discussion by a fairly healthy amount, she's genuinely a dead topic.
I could go on if you'd like, as you said the topic is quite nebulous so my tiny examples isn't nearly enough to fully explain how this concept works, or you could reply to me with "ogey" and "kys"
