At least back then the possible candidates would have more realistic expectations and not be thrown into this complete luck-based system where you can be the best possible pick but since you're not don't meet the subjective approval to fit for any of the roles Omega thought up you end up not being hired in favor of another person who's probably not a better streamer/singer/musician/gamer/or have any kind of charisma but still got the job because they were perfect to play one of the "characters" of the new gen. As for the second point Cover made clear some time ago that HoloEN was made to be a "streamer-focused group" unlike the idol angle JP has. Problem is, the "idols" of HoloJP are more competent in doing both idolshit and streaming than the supposed "streamers" of EN.
