I've been enjoying (?) Sonny's Touhou Luna Nights extra stage stream, but it's not going to stop me from passing out from exhaustion. I didn't expect this to take so long, since he's learned a few tricks since the last time he played - like how to shoot upwards! - and he managed to skip a good part of Corridor of Pain 2.0 by just time-running through it, but I clearly underestimated Reimu's power.
It's still been fun watching him play, though. He was really, really excited to see both Cirno and Reimu, and he picked up both their attack patterns pretty quickly - it's just been a problem of execution and Reimu's paper cut being both inconsistent and actually impossible to dodge without using i-frames. Once he accepts that he just has to Thousand Daggers that every single time instead of trying to predict when it's actually necessary, he should beat it fine. He's been playing worse as he gets more and more tilted, though, so I don't know how long this is going to take.
Was also nice seeing some more people who actually knew the game in chat today, too. Hope some of them stick around.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk. I wanted to talk about this game because I've really enjoyed watching it, but honestly there's not much to talk about since it's mostly just been frustration. It's polarizing stream content since some people (exhibit A being this thread) are really into the whole 'frustrated noises' aspect of it all, but it can get pretty repetitive when it's been going on for hours. But it's not like there's anything he can do about that besides getting good and actually beating the boss.
