So I've only played utawarerumono for about 6 hours now and it's pretty good, i did watch the first few episodes of the anime before hand though and so far I'm not seeing a reason to play the game over watching the anime... so for the amount of time i put in the game they just dealt with the tiger, but in the anime i had already seen them take the capital for about the same time sink with no glaring differences in story
