AFAIK the captchas are always been 5 - 6 characters, sometimes sliding bar, sometimes static image, and occasionally No Verification Required, but for a while yesterday I was getting 4 character captchas that had a fuck ton more visual clutter in them than normal including big black or white circles that inverted the colors of the text, 100% of all the captchas I got had the sliding bar and never one got No Verification Required during that period, the extra clutter was miserable trying to figure out if it was actually only 4 characters or not
