I'm getting worse and worse about things like this. A vtuber I watch and like is pretty much the nicest, kindest, most easygoing person ever. But the other day during one of her streams, she used the wrong word to describe something. She didn't catch herself, and nobody in chat acknowledged it or said anything. Ever since then, I've been having a lot of trouble enjoying her the way I used to. It's like I feel this sinister aura radiating from her beneath the kindness. I might just be imagining it, but this is the effect a single word can have. I know I'm getting worse, I recognize it in myself, and yet I still can't stop it. My mind won't let me.
