I find myself enjoying Shiori, but for different reasons than I do Ame. Ame's more grunge and alternative, Shiori's pop punk. Ame came from poverty in the projects, Shiori came from poverty in a Chinese slum. Ame got multiple injuries as a kid, Shiori got mercury poisoning. Both were really important to the early western vtubing scene, but for vastly different reasons and audiences. Both are technically gifted, but Ame seems to knowledge in certain areas while Shiori has knowledge in others. Ame's weird in a funny way, Shiori's weird in a scare-boner way. Ame didn't want her fanbase to be called holmies, I wouldn't doubt Shiori herself being a holmie after tonight. (With regards to Sherlock AND the other Holmes.) And of course, Ame's a subtle fujo while Shiori is a blatant yumejo.
I still like Ame better, but I'm gonna keep an eye on Shiori since she seems like she'll be fun too. Shiori isn't necessarily a villain as much as an anti-hero relative to Ame's hero. I really hope those dumb rrats about them having bad blood aren't true, since I think the two of them together could do a lot of great stuff.
