I think they broke me fellow ruffians.
I've been on some dates, had a short term relationship or two in my 33 years on this planet, but I have never felt the loneliness this badly. Knowing someone like Moco-chan exists in this world, a cute, focused, driven, hard-core anime weeb, kills me inside. I know there are a few out there, the kinds of women who go to cons and enjoy dressing up as whatever old show they loved, but still have a burning passion to enjoy the medium today. The kind who aren't afraid to enjoy trashy romcoms or slightly ecchi shows. The kind who are willing to let people enjoy what they like and encourage it. I know turbo-weeb women do exist, but I feel like they're the library girl type and are really hard to actually find outside. Obviously we only get to see what they bring to the stream and I know life isn't perfect for them or those around them off-stream, but there's just something about Moco-chan that I can't shake.
I don't know if it's just the right combination of bratty attitude and sweetness/softness she displays, her slightly fragile self-esteem, or her peppy-ness. I just can't take it, it makes my heart ache so much knowing I will probably never meet her or even another woman like her.
