Goodbye anons...
As it turns out, these last 3 hours were flashes of my life whizzing through my mind, of the memories shared with my husband Luca and our 2 daughters (restaurant owner and lawyer) and 1 son (farm owner, just like his childhood dream) and 2 dogs (sheepdog and labrador) as Luca held my hand, and sung our favorite songs from our favorite movie series Shrek. Those memories, of our first dance, our first kiss, our first born child who was greeted with the softest 'pog' I've ever heard, our first fight, our first makeup sex, our first public indecency fine, our first house, all those waltzes, all those surprise cakes, all those little milestones, all those wistful moments, all those sleepy Sunday afternoons spent learning about medival torture rituals, all those midnight snack runs, all those hours spent silently laying on each other, all those hours spent filling our weathered house with our laughter... all of it... filed neatly in the last few neuron sparks rapid firing in my failing, dying brain... My life was more Luca than me... And I wouldn't have it any other way.
