>>27439553I get it. I'm an actual diagnosed sociopath with no natural empathy, how to read other people and navigate social situations is a skill I've had to actively learn. This is part of why I got so into literature and the intricacies of writing multi-faceted characters. It was interesting to examine a completely normal human behavior that I just did not at all understand on a personal level. I agree with you that people have a tendency to mistake the philosophical for the personal, but the way you phrase things inherently makes some of your statements personal. I don't think anyone expects you to suddenly change who you fundamentally are as a person. But communication is a two-way street. If you want people to adjust to you and your quirks, you have to make an effort to meet them in the middle. You can't put the entire onious of successful communication on your conversational partner, especially when those partners are strangers on the internet who may have never spoken to you before and don't understand a single thing about you. Take Pomerlane anon, who also started a shit ton of fights when he first came in here because of the way he tended to phrase things. He's made a conscious effort to be better, and outside of his dedicated schizos he isn't misunderstood as often anymore.
To be perfectly honest, I think you're plenty capable of holding civilized discussions. Most anons here would not be bothered by purely facts-based debates. The main issue you have is your excessive use of insults. If you just took a moment to remove insults from your posts before you actually posted them, I think that would already go a long way to making you sound less abrasive.
