>>62618655it depends on what you mean by CRT. CRT televisions are good for a specific era of games where the nature of the pixels were used to enhance and smooth graphics like natural anti-aliasing. However trying to read text on a CRT TV is not good at all. CRT monitors are still good in general today and display tech is only just now catching up in many ways. I have a run of the mill CRT monitor on my PC from 2004 that I run at 1280x1024@85Hz and play Melee on it. That refresh rate is unmatched in LCD until very recently. High quality PVM monitors could do 1080x1440@120Hz. Not to mention the black levels that were not matched until OLED, or the motion clarity that can only be nearly matched now with additional software.
