The problem is ultimately in the way it's put together in the end. Looping "unchangeable" video over much much longer audio. It's already no longer playing at the original FPS, that's all I can do to make it run a different length - I sped it up to 32 FPS to try and get it roughly the same length as one chorus loop.
I'm limited in what FPS I can set it to as well, to a certain extent. Random decimal #s don't work, I can either put an integer or a fraction in. Can't start the audio at an arbitrary point in the song any more than I already have or it'll sound weird.
And yes, that's how Aegisub does karaoke timing, visually using the waveform. It's really not sync'd at all, some switch on a full "mogu", some on "ogum", etc. I just went for equal timing for the 12 mogus on /nasfaqg/nas and random spins and shit for mogu mogu yummy.picrel, maybe I'll fuck with it more later.
