I think girls don't want a sistuber like Scarle or Aia who are cringe and remind them too much of themselves. The way they're socially awkward and obsess over otome and BL is too reminiscent of that nerd girl who got bullied at school and it's hard to watch.
Maria, Elira and Kotoka are girls who are romanticized ideals of the #relatable girl, they may play games girls like, or say #relatable things but they're dignified about it. They're still perceived as attractive and desirable(NO OPINIONS FROM /HERE/ DON'T MATTER) while being closer to what real women are like. So just like their male fans, they want an idealized woman, only the idealization this time is having a best friend whose not cringe and doesn't make them feel awkward about themselves.
