>>88608426I used to. I remember playing some MMO's long after a point I really found them interesting. I wanted to get stronger because the idea of doing that and being able to show off was cool, but I wasn't really enjoying the dailies and the grind to get there. But then I'd think about the money I'd spent on the game so far and how I wanted to get my money's worth and keep going.
Then I learned about the sunk cost fallacy and took it to heart. Literally picrel now and as soon as I feel like I'm not getting something out of an entertainment product anymore I just drop it cold turkey and have never felt any need to return to any of it. I once quit a game 3 days after spending 30 bucks on it cause I realized those 30 bucks did not bring any extra enjoyment out of it for me. Stopped me from spending even more in the future too
