>>86290529That's a lot to unpack.
>First of all, I really don't like empty spaces between captions, we got it covered with stripes on the original badge and I prefer it much more.I have to say that I personally like the empty spaces more than those stripes. It looks cleaner and more like an actual real life badge. This seems to be an issue of personal preferences.
>Then the Mint's head is too big and covers the caption partially, I don't know how much of a problem it is and if it's fixable at all due to the original model just being this way, it just isn't too pleasant to my eye.I actually think it's cute how she sticks out of the badge. I agree however, that the caption is the main thing. He sent me two different versions, one had the caption moved on the same background and the other one has the text around the badge, it's >pic related. Interesting ideas for sure and of course very much still a WIP.
>Lastly it looks too sharp because of the black color and the outline of the captions, the original badge looks smoother and slicker maybe? Again more pleasant to look atI agree with this one. Black and white make for some very sharp contrasts and some softer colours could work better. I'm thinking of brown and creme for example, like the second set of kits. Or just in general some different shades of mint / light turquoise.
