Otsonny!! I enjoyed getting caught up on the zelda gorilla yesterday, I saw it live initially but couldn't stay awake enough to write about it. I hate missing even bits of streams but at the same time it feels so nice to fall asleep to his live voice ahh... really though, it was a pretty good day for exploration. Congrats on finally finding your secret behind a waterfall, sonny. He had bought the DLC pass, and the game tossed a slew of information at him before letting him loose again. More chests and challenges, wahoo! Good thing the game kindly labels dlc chests with a giant EX to clear up any potential confusion. He soon headed back to his place of origin to pick up the most underpowered overpowered weapon in the game and start the divine beast tamer's trial back on the plateau. Considering he was running around with a quarter of a heart for this challenge I guess I can't blame him TOO much for using arrows. With just his shield, 1 hp and a dream, the plateau became just as dangerous as it was almost three weeks ago. Very amusing watching him fight for his life, and the new set of shrines that rose from the ground for the trial were pretty lethal. He appreciates the challenge. ...Most of the time. It was fun watching him try different ways to maneuver around the guardians in the shrine where you get gang-raped by them. Stealth, runes, parrying, many deaths later he got lucky with his obliterator and completed it. Last two shrines were less combat and more puzzle but still fun to watch, you gotta appreciate his dedication to getting those extra chests. After 2.5 hours, the first portion of this trial was complete... but it's not over yet! He has four more challenges by each divine beast to complete, but I guess he'll get to those next time since he wanted to focus more on exploration. From the zoras' territory to the dangerous akkala highlands, he tore through every enemy in sight and got plenty of loot in the process. Christ sonny, your minimap is driving me up the wall. Met a new fairy, found tarrey town, got a better hons, and spent like half an hour learning to windbomb. Chill zelda indeed, we'll see if he gets to ganon next time... I thought it would be just one more episode but I'm not sure anymore.
Thankfully he kept his word in rescheduling idk to the next day, and it was a decent time. Nice to see hades make a comeback, though I figured he'd be rusty. Despite the options he's presented with he seems pretty determined to stick with the sword which I can respect, don't have to adjust to new weapons if you don't equip them (though that means he might never see skelly either KEK). He got a couple runs in after discovering the mirror of the night, can't say either were too successful but hey, not bad for the first time in three weeks. Impressive he went the entire first run without ever picking up a dash boon! Even if the lava was beating his ass he's gotten pretty decent at dealing with the bone hydra now and made it back to theseus before getting done in. Next run was kind of funny since he picked up a couple boons from ares with the blade rifts early on which meant beyblades nearly all the time, very helpful with trash mobs and slightly less so with bosses.... didn't even make it past asterius this time, at least he got to use some of his nectars though, charon is very deserving of it. You'll beat hades next time for sure sonny. Second and final game for the evening was Q remastered— of course it was, he had unfinished business after all. Q29... plenty of hooks, seesaws and balls later he did finally get it. I always find it funny when he gets so close to completing a level but somehow gets screwed over by some random little shape he made earlier, I swear these levels with the tall cups will be the death of him. What really got him though was Q32, deceptively simple in its instruction to "Raise him up." My guy had an entire family arc with this damn turtle... going through all five stages of grief trying to get him upright. I love otousonny but I did not enjoy the stern scolding he gave to the sedentary reptile, hit far too close to home. Somehow it was resistant to everything sonny had learned about physics and Q so far— claw, fulcrum, all rendered useless. In the end, he only had about a half hour to dedicate to it, and had to give up for now in the end. Q pisses him off so badly, I promise it's never that serious sonny... sorry your son is such a disappointment. Kept it on the shorter side today, luckily supas kept him around for another hour as they always do. Fun times, unfortunately his retard ass procrastinated so apparently he has some work to do this week and can't guarantee streams or a schedule. Collab with ver on Wednesday at least which I am... curious about, and in any case I'm sure he'll make time for Zelda somewhere. There's always time for Zelda. Happy birthday mr eveland and congrats on the 2nd orisong. Sleep well sonny, get yer fuckin work done and I hope to see you soon! o7
