I only got into vtubers in August of last year.
Not because of Advent, surprisingly, that was just a coincidence. It was because a friend sent me a vtuber AI chatbot gosling meme and it got me to check out some Gura clipfaggotry out of curiosity. Then I discovered that this was a girl I'd followed in her past life and that all of the "shitposts" I saw in 2020 about her becoming Gura and that I'd reflexively dismissed as deliberately absurd internet memes were 100% real all along. It was like I'd been miraculously reunited with a long-lost old friend through an act of God after they'd "vanished without a trace".
Three years spent mourning her and praying for her to come back some day suddenly became three whole years of missed content to catch up on. Still blows my mind to think about.
