yea it depends
a bit on models, and I guess on how you prompt too. "masterpiece" is a one way ticket to overbaked images on the other vaes. the k8/WD ones are usually too much for me as well. I never add weight to the quality tags so the SD1.5 one works well for me. I think I wrote a brief warning about SD/WD VAE being overbaked for some models, like good shit or anything with a lot of AnythingV3 or Elysium in it.
