In the 1950's Detroit was the richest city in the entire world. It was one of the first cities in the world to be electrified, and was called "motor city" because of its extremely robust manufacturing industry. The population was 90% white.
Some jewish academics decided that bringing in a bunch of black sharecroppers from the South was just the labor force the city needed during WW2 when the men were away fighting. The city started having insanely huge race riots between whites and blacks in the middle of the war. The city passed segregation policies to separate the populations, policies which they never had before.
But in the late 60's and 70's some jewish academics and media moguls created the idea that the black people's poor condition was a result of the segregation. So they promoted this figure called Martin Luther King, who began touring all these northern cities and kicking up a hullaballoo over their segregation policies. The result was the ending of these policies.
What happened next was an entirely predictable outcome. With no protections against the black's insanely high rate of murder and crime, and the extremely low school standards which are associated with black populations, the white people began fleeing the cities en-masse. This was the birth of the "suburbs" which were essentially "white refugee camp" of people who fled the city to raise their children in peace. The cities collapsed and became dens of crime, disorder, and poverty, as the blacks destroyed the place. All of the pie-in-the-sky social theories created by the "long nosed" acaemics, about how this would bring harmony and progress, ended up failing and creating a hell on earth instead.
Today Detroit is one of the worst places in the western hemisphere with a murder rate as high as any African country. The government is beset by petty corruption, literally like a third world country. The water pipes are rusting, creating a crisis in Flint Michigan. Several attempts have been made to bail out the city and fix their problems, including state and federal bailout, but it all has no effect. Now they're attempting to attract white people back into the city and gentrify certain areas to improve the conditions of life.
Any overhead photos of Detroit reveal huge vacant lots near the city-center, where unoccupied houses have been torn down to prevent them from becoming crack dens. Wild dogs roam the streets and sometimes carry away small children. The population is 80% black. Before/After photos show what used to be a bustleing metropolis is now a dilapidated hellscape with collapsing buildings, graffiti, and dead bodies in the street. It is like a modern day zombie movie.
