But, while I don't mean to make light of your situation, a new year is a new you.
And if that's true then I don't see why a new year couldn't mean a new boyfriend too.
Wouldn't you prefer somebody who would appreciate you and talk to you daily?
If you're fine with it we could try out dating for a bit. We probably don't live anywhere near each other so it'd lack the physical aspect but we could always Netflix and chill (for real) via voice calls.
I know it's classic for a Pomudachi to try and get a date but there's no downside to trying out something new and having a short chat.
