>>41386904It's the best option for them, unironically. Most of them don't know their way around their own microphones and just buy the popular shit anyway, but SOME of the popular shit is popular because it has been proven to work, like the Shure sm7b AKA the "Joe Rogan" mic as it's known now. It's a legendary mic because it really is good. The problem is, none of them know anything about filters or general EQ, so any good mic is wasted since they just plug it into the goxlr and do nothing else to it.
The goxlr itself doesn't function without the software on the PC as far as I know, meaning that if something goes wrong it becomes a big audio interface that just lets your PC recognize the mic and that's it. So it's a huge weakness. But at the same time, none of them are gonna take the time to learn how to use real mixers and figure out effects on it and such, and none of them are gonna use effect boxes either just for reverb or silly voices. So the goxlr is genuinely the only thing they got left since it's so easy to use and has all of that built in. And the thing was made precisely for streamers too which is why it's so popular.
