You can save money on food by sleeping more. I've cut my food expenses down to one meal a day.
Get a credit card as soon as you qualify and move all of your planned expenses onto it. Most credit cards give reward points back for using it to pay for things, so you're not only saving money in the long term, but you're also building credit (an evil everyone in the US has to participate in)
The sooner you can save up enough money to put a down payment on a house, or even a condo or coop, do it. It's much cheaper than paying rent.
If you're not in business/finance, tech, or science, get a blue collar job, preferably one that's unionized. Easiest effort:pay ratio I've ever had since I entered the work force, plus it's job security.
And most importantly: Bottled water is a scam AND is killing the enviornment. Soda is fucking cheaper than bottled water. If you need water, buy a fucking water filter and fill it from the tap.
