https://youtu.be/H_ud1ltAVrc?t=2015> I did talk about the whole "difference in directions", and this is my thoughts -> Among you guys there's a lot of people that are "working" right? Whether in a company, or society or in school etc.> In those situations, there's times when there's work that you kinda "have to do" right?> You can't do certain things that you want on your own time. I'm sure everyone has situations like that.> In school (and work) and stuff.> So I work at this wonderful place called Hololive, and obviously there's things that I "have to do" here as well.> Like mentally and all. Ah right, no clipping this part *sets up the thing* I want to say this in my own works. *asks chat for EN translation of 切り抜き禁止*.> So yeah, an environment where there were "things you have to do" was always pretty rough for me and there were a lot of times I thought "this is so hard".continues with line 2 of quoted post.
Not much to add, just more confirmation that she hated doing "work".
Notably Shion has expressed the EXACT SAME reason as to why she went on an extended break.
Aqua absolutely LOVED streaming and the times when she was not streaming was hell on her, and there were likely feelings of "not wanting to disappoint her fans" as well.
Which explains why she thinks there's "things she HAD to do" because we know from other holos that you CAN actually decline sponsorships, collabs etc. if you want and just chill. Subaru did just that for a while for example (this could also be a difference in managers, because while Subaru's manager prioritized her mental health and told her to distance herself, Aqua's manager may have told her to take everything that comes her way). Aqua's the "responsible" type and tried to balance it all and found that she couldn't.
Shion had the perspective that she didn't want to turn the streaming that she loved into a "job", and thus distanced herself from it while continuing her other "jobs" (also she spent 1/3rd of her life on the internet and wanted to disconnect for some time).
