It's not going to replace artists either. It's still quite limited in terms of things that it can do. I work in AI so I somewhat know what I'm talking about. I don't think it'll replace artists any time soon, if ever. However, the objective for a lot of people that work on image generation of drawings, be it anime or anything else, is rather to make assistive tools that real artists could benefit from.
