And while yeah cute anime girl, idoru kawaii and all that, when you actually think about it she doesn't really have much going for her aside from her singing ability. She's not smart, has the health stability of a drug addict, suffers from body dysmorphia, can't work a 9-5 to save herself, and is literally the most directionally challenged person you could ever meet, she would get lost in the smallest of cities.
In the real world, Gura's a fucking loser who couldn't pull her own weight if she tried. But this idol job gave her purpose, to at least try to be someone. Without it, who knows where she could've ended up.
I get that people think it's "unfair" but she's just playing to her strengths. Her ONLY strengths, in fact. Hating on her almost feels like kicking a one-legged puppy that belongs to a rich family. Sure her owners are rich, and she also may be by default, but hating on her person just for that just feels... Cruel.
