>>29050170Found her like other members through clips early 2020, ironically the way clips represented her at the time made her seem like a gap moe character (timid oblivious girl that's actually a brat) and her struggles with vidya, often comical, kept me coming for her streams. Then I got hooked on her singing, I was never into idol and utaite culture but Kanata made it work for me. Little by little I noticed she's the one I never want to miss out on and the rest is history.
On top of what others said, for me a big part of Kanata's appeal is how relatable and self-aware she is. Not just in herself being her own worst critic way but simply her being able to see things as a fellow Hololive fan. She knows what I know and thinks the way I think, for better or for worse. Her remarks about music defining her life strike a chord with me since it's been the same for me and her struggles to keep it that way despite her illness are incredibly inspiring to me. She represents what I've always aspired to be so in a way she's my role model.
