>>4907609TL;DR how I see it, it all boils down to Cover restricting creativity after Chink yab and Coco being unable to enjoy working under those restrictions. YT was late with anti-spam features which also prevented Coco from collabing for far too long.
>Chinks had some dislike for Coco even before Taiwan yab (tentative)>Cover grew too big too fast and the organizational side of it wasn't coping well with increase in responsibilities well>When Taiwan yab happened they were underequipped and unprepared to handle it and fell back to their default behavior: vacay talents while they try and sort the mess>Statements issued, YT help requested etc.>At this point Cover, already through the Holocaust, starts to really formalize streaming as job for their talents>Some holos said that there is "a lot of paperwork and approvals" involved>After getting back Coco was restricted from a) creating content that she wanted due to formalization of streaming by Cover b) collabs to avoid spillage to other talents channels>Somewhere along the line EU meme laws and new YT guidelines for content came out and hit Haachama>Cover yet again fell back on their dinosaur response and formalized everything to avoid further problems>Coco discussed possibilities with management again and again but there was no window for her to create content that she likes>Collab bans might have been lifted not necessarily as a farewell gift from Cover but simply because timing of slowpoke YT implementing anti-spam features coincided precisely>Coco is unable to enjoy the job at Hololive anymore due to content creation restrictions & long chain of formalized approval>Informs staff & holos that she will be graduating>Holos trying to dissuade her from leaving probably were looking for the same compromise Coco tried to reach with management but failed>Coco is not being unpersoned and memoryholed, she will remain as graduate alumni and can be mentioned on streams by other holos>Coco is not ruling out possibility of returning to Hololive in the future, presumably if management position on content creation restriction changes or the flow of approval is smoothened out, most likely staff changes required (dinosaur extinction)>Coco will not be working under any other agencyHow right am I? Honestly, it's not as bad as I thought. It just looks like Cover is massively slow in crisis management and not all entertainer talents can tolerate working under emergency content creation restrains that were enacted after Taiwan yab and YT content guidelines.
I can live with this, Japan companies are conservative dinosaurs and VTubing is very young industry by their standards.
I have hope that situation will get better in general and specifically in Cover. If not for Coco than for other talents.
Not like I've never changed workplaces over disagreeing with policies.
