Just a massive waste of time where you don't learn anything else, don't develop a skill, don't improve mentally or physically, and don't socialize unless you join the fandom and your friends are other vtuberfags to talk chuubas with. Normies spend their time watching slop too but they do it as an excuse to socialize.
I barely come to /vt/ these days or watch vtubers but I'm glad my first oshi was Ina because she got me into drawing and I still draw to this day.
