Nothing as impressive as painting to be honest. I do tiedye, mostly tshirts but I've done some larger pieces on commission before. The tools that needed dusting off were the bits and bobs I uses to manipulate the fabric, and also the scoops/sieves for the dye. My dye powders are all clumped and fucked up from being stored in too much humidity for too long, and then the dyes are applied with ice which has turned from cubes into a solid block over the past year; which is what I was referring to in terms of stale materials. (also had to throw out some old soda ash solution that smelled like a fucking bog lmfao) Hope that all makes sense.

Thanks for sitting thru my mild blogposting, but the dyes I layed down today won't be finished setting for a couple days yet, so I'll post this piece instead. It's pretty recent from right before I stopped a year ago, but honestly the stuff I did today is gonna be scuffed as shit by comparison. The ice was in very irregular pieces because of how I had to smash it and the dye is going to spread weird as fuck.
I feel better about myself than I have in months just from doing this little bit. I'm ready to get addicted to it again.
